(っ●'◡'●)っ 🦄 Status and plan 🦄

Hi guys. Phew. Didn't expect another announcement from me so soon, eh? Well, I am trying to make it up a bit now. Thank god I set the release right before the weekend, so I can have time for all of this. I cannot imagine how I would get by in the middle of the week. So let's talk business first.

If you have not been living under a rock all this time, you are perfectly aware of the Mastercard/Visa/Collective Shout thingy. Some weird evil power clash and Valve/Steam got caught in the crossfire, with me and other devs (and you, of course) as hostages. And for the time being, we have no choice but to comply with the new reality. The problem is: the new situation is very vague, and the rules of this weird game are not really set in stone. So, from Valve, other devs here is a list of "Do's" and "Don't's" I am currently aware of:

Don't's:
- An adult-only game cannot have Early Access.
- Video games cannot have adult-only elements. Those elements have to be shipped separately as DLC and reviewed by Steam.
- Adult-only video games cannot have Adult-Only content expansion. Any NEW lewd content has to ship as DLC.

Do's:
- I can patch bugs.
- I can add Quality of Life updates
- I can add new content as long as it is not new Adult-Only content

How this works in practice:
Example 1: I add VR version of the game -> good.
Example 2: I add a new fun position to the existing Amelia model -> good.
Example 3: I want to add a new lewd model -> not good. Have to be via DLC.
Example 4: I want to add a new BDSM dungeon mode to the game -> not good. Have to be via DLC.
Example 5: I want to add a new toy that works exactly as the one already in the game -> good.
Example 6: I want to add more storyline to the game as long as it's not spicy -> good.
Example 7: I want to add support for extra wide-screens -> good.
Example 8: I want to add controller support -> good.

See where this is going?
TL;DR: I will keep working and expanding the game, even on Steam. But some stuff might be either delayed (because they have to be reviewed by Valve) or will be missing (if Valve judges them inappropriate and rejects them).
Of course, for now this is a Steam-only problem. The other platforms are currently not being affect so the development will continiue normally.

(っ◔◡◔)っ 💬 What's next? 💬

Expect a small patch within up to 6 days. I do not have the means to expand the game too much on such short notice, but I will be:
- Fixing some bugs
- Bringing some QoL stuff
- You will also get full support for controllers (Easier to take your Steamdeck with you than haul your entire PC - for those who don't live alone *wink wink*)
- Steam Achievements
- Steam Leaderboards
- Community Items/Point Shop/Trading Cards (they just got unlocked!)

I might be able to do something more, but I do not want to make promises I am not certain to deliver.

First of all, THANK YOU!!! Thank you all. Even those of you who left negative reviews. I understand where you are coming from. The game is supposed to be Early Access. I was not ready to go Premium, and now I am in "Fk Around & find out" timeline T_T. For my defence, I really had no other choice. It was either this or drop Steam. As I promised, I will keep expanding the game for as long as I can afford it. The entire Road Map I posted months ago is still what I am aiming for.

That being said, when the Steam release was far from disaster, it also... well. It's not enough for me to quit my daily job and work full-time on Amelia :( I am sorry. I am not a dev team. I am not a company. I am just a girl making lewd stuff after work. I cannot take the risk, cross my fingers, and hope it's gonna work out somehow. I don't have sponsors. I don't have a rich boyfriend or parents. There is no emergency plan. If I take the leap of faith and fall, I will feel the full impact. There won't be any cushion to save me. Understand this, please. Help is not coming.

That being said, there is nothing in the world that I desire and dream of more than being able to work full-time on the game. Trust me. Just as the game name is Dreams of Amelia, this is the Dreams of Laura. It brings me joy. It makes me happy. It makes the sad voices go away for a moment. But I am not quite there... yet.
